BBSI is a business consulting firm.  We work with start ups as well as small and medium size businesses. We help the business owner get their company on the right track - with focus on compliance issues such as risk management, workers comp, and payroll - as well as legal matters and building a business plan for the next 3-5 years. We discuss the vision of their company with owner - figure out where they want to go - and then assign a team to assist them with that focus. We network with diverse businesses - from the San Jose Sharks to construction firms to restaurants.  

Job Shadow Description

Director of Business Development

I work out in the Silicon Valley most days (as opposed to being in the office) - so for job shadow day I plan to bring you with me to some of our more interesting/diverse clients and discuss how we partner together.  You will visit the SAP Centre (home of the San Jose Sharks) - and meet some of the Sharks management team (possibly a tour of the SAP Centre time permitting) - and we'll have lunch with the owner of Ike's Sandwiches - the fastest growing restaurant in the Bay Area.  I work closely with the SVO (Silicon Valley Organization) - the hub for small business in downtown San Jose - and we'll probably meet with the CEO of SVO - Matt Mahood.
