The San Jose State University Career Center strives to prepare over 33,000 students for purposeful careers and connect those students with over 10,000 employers throughout the world. As a department within the SJSU Student Affairs Division, we are staffed with human- and employment-development professionals committed to helping students make the most of their education. We conduct career assessments, professional development workshops, and a range of on-campus recruiting services including employer information sessions and large job fairs. Because of our role on the campus, we have a view into a range of careers in higher education and outside the university. This job shadow would be ideal for someone interested in working in higher education, counseling with a Positive Psychology/strengths focus, and/or Human Resources.
