Santa Clara County Fire Department

Company Overview

The Santa Clara County Fire Department (SCCFD) exists to protect the lives, property, and environment from fires, emergency incidents, and disasters through preparedness, prevention, education, and emergency response.

SCCFD is a California Fire Protection District serving the communities of Campbell, Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga and unincorporated communities within Santa Clara County. Daily emergency response staffing consists of seventy (70) career fire personnel on a 48-hour shift assignment, operating nineteen (19) pieces of first-line apparatus, plus three (3) Battalion Chief command vehicles, all operating from fifteen (15) fire stations each day.

The Fire Prevention Division provides a comprehensive fire & life safety plan review for land development, new building construction, interior remodel projects, fire suppression and fire alarm systems. In addition, periodic construction inspections are performed to ensure that completed projects conform to both state and local fire safety regulations.
